How to replace pop up basin waste?

Hi there,

I'm hoping a plumbing wizard can help me find the product or solution I need. My pop up bath tub waste has siezed up with corrosion. I need to replace it but I'm struggling to find out what product it is. Google lens hasn't been any help in this regard.

Can someone out there recognise it and help point me to replacement or alternative solution?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you with us, and thanks for sharing your question about your pop-up waste.

I'm sorry but I am not familiar with the pop-up waste you have in your picture. However, if the pop-up mechanism has given way, I propose taking it apart and see if the Kinetic Brass Pop Up Waste Mechanism is compatible with the mechanism of your bath pop-up waste.

My only other suggestion is to replace your current one with a Kinetic 40mm Matte Black Non-Overflow Pop-Up Bath Waste. Please double check the sizes before you purchase the bath waste.

Thanks for your suggestion Eric.

I was able to take the old waste plug apart and replace it's core with a new Kinetic Brass Pop Up Waste Mechanism

Now it works well. I just need to find a new rubber washer with a flange to replace the old cracked one.

It's good to hear that you got it working, I suggest going to your store's special orders desk and ordering in a packet of Fix-a-tap Pop Up Plug Waste Washer Pack of 4. The product number is 203854. The pack contains washer sizes for the most common pop-up waste brands. Make sure to show the photo to the special orders team so that they can track down the product for you.
