How to remove grass & weeds?

Hello Team,

I need your guidance in removing the grass, weeds from the front/back yard soil without affecting/infecting the soil. I would like to grow plants on the soil, but the grass and weeds are really bothering and need advice to get rid of them permanently. Please refer to the pics and help me to resolve this.
