How to install Prempanel acoustic wall panels?

I'd like to install some prempanel acoustic wall panels on my living room wall behind my TV for a nice feature. Something like the picture below. I've managed to cut the panels to size and purchased liquid nails fast grab for this project. My first question is did I purchase the right liquid nails or should I have gone with the heavy duty version (or something else)?

My second question and main concern is that i have skirting which isn't flat at the top. I've attached an image to show what I mean but basically the skirting has a slight arch (or diagonal on it) which means the panels don't really sit well on top of them and slip off. My concern is if I mount the panels with liquid nails they might slip and not stay in position. Is there something I can do to clamp them or hold them in place while the liquid nails cure? I've read I can also screw the panels in for extra support but I'm not sure that will help and I'm a bit nervous when it comes to finding the studs. Any advice is appreciated thank you.

Although the product wording can be a bit vague, it’s actually a requirement to use screws when installing PREM panels. The adhesive—like your Liquid Nails Fast Grab (which is fine)—does the long-term holding, but the screws are essential for keeping the panels in place while the glue sets. Without them, especially in your case where the panels aren’t sitting flat due to the skirting, there's a good chance they’ll slip out of position before the adhesive cures.

Screws should be placed every 300mm across the width of the panel and every 600mm along the height. You don’t necessarily need to hit a stud—they're mainly there to temporarily fix the panels in place. You can screw directly into the plasterboard if needed.

So in your situation, once you've got the panels positioned where you want them, pop in a few screws to secure them, then follow the rest of the installation pattern. That’ll take care of the slipping issue, even with the uneven top on your skirting.
