How to fix this hole in garage wall?

The wall in garage has holes and dents and needs fixing immediately; Can someone help me with the list of items that are required to fix this? We have the paint but please point to specific items to fix this hole/ dent and video link on how to do this job as I am pretty new at this D.I.Y fixing. Also, how long will this task take overall?

It looks like the kind of damage that can be repaired fairly easily with the right materials. The holes and dents in your garage wall appear to be suitable for repair using a product like Spakfilla or any similar ready-mixed wall filler. Start by removing any loose or damaged material from around the holes, including any paper or plasterboard that's sitting proud of the surface. You want a clean, stable base to work with. Next, apply the filler using a scraper, making sure to press it firmly into the holes and smooth it off as best you can.

Once the filler is completely dry, sand it back using fine-grit sandpaper (around 120 to 180 grit) until the filler is flush with the wall. Be careful not to oversand, especially around the plasterboard. You can then apply a very thin top coat of filler to feather out the edges and ensure a seamless finish, and once that’s dry, give it a final light sand. When you're happy with the surface, give it a coat of undercoat before painting to match the rest of the wall.

It's the drying time for the filler that will take some time, @amrutha. The filling and sanding may take 30 minutes, but the filler may take several hours to dry, especially on a cold and wet day. Using a hairdryer on a low or warm setting can help the filler set faster.

With drying time, I would allow a full day for completion.

Despite the 30min quoted on the filler container, it's only for very shallow holes for 1-2mm. So, don't rush the drying time before sanding as your holes appear to be reasonably deep as it will just break out. You will get a quicker drying time if you fill 1/3rd at a time and then use the hair dryer as @MitchellMc suggested. Little press the end of a nail into the fill to check if it's dried through before each coat. Realistically the entire job will be 3-4hrs all up.
