Hi everyone,
I’m looking to install new heat lamps [two globe options] in two bathrooms and have a few questions before I commit.
Most models at Bunnings (like IXL and CLICK) have an open top for exhaust. I’m worried this might let cold air in during winter, even when not in use. Has anyone experienced noticeable cold drafts with these?
I also saw some ducted models that vent through the side using aluminium ducting. Would these be better at retaining warmth? If so, can a regular electrician handle the duct install, or would I need someone else?
One bathroom window infill [the external area above the window] is timber or some sort of board—not brick. If I go with a ducted unit and need to run a vent outlet through that, is it safe long-term? Any moisture or damage concerns?
I already have a working exhaust fan with flaps that stop cold air, and I’m happy to keep it. Would it be fine to install a heat lamp separately, or is it better to go for an all-in-one heat/light/fan unit?
Also, any thoughts on IXL vs CLICK, or is there a better brand ?
Finally, what kind of installation cost should I expect for:
Thanks for any tips or recommendations!

Saw this model, but do have bad reviews
