How to cut cabinetry to fit washing machine?

I have an LG WashTower that I really love, but I’m moving to a new home soon and unfortunately, the laundry cabinets have already been installed — and the WashTower doesn’t fit in the space.

Is it possible to cut or adjust the existing cupboards so that the WashTower can fit?

Assuming that's your current laundry can you get a photo of the new laundry?

Maybe directly or through your agent.

A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is wonderful to have you with us.

As @AlanM52 has already said, it should be possible, but you would need to consider how you would finish the cabinetry with some of it being removed.

Is the image you've shown of the new laundry?

If so, you would have to cut the benchtop along the dotted line and then remove the end panel that the solid arrow points at.

Depending on how the laundry was constructed, this may be all that is required, and you would just sit your wash tower against the existing cabinetry, but if the tiles ended at the height of the benchtop, this would have to be considered.

Do you have access to the laundry to get some updated photos and further details?

Hi @ndema

Unfortunately there is no simply solution as the tower has a major impact on both the benchtop and overhead cabinets. You're going to need a cabinet-maker to remove both components, and reconfigure both to accomodate the tower. This will be more complicated if the benchtop is stone/engineered stone as it will require cutting down by another profession. I would research laundry renovation companies who can provide a total turnkey solution

I am afraid that the guys have alrwady stated the issues nicely. Sealing the end of the bench smoothly and the tiles backing onto it will be an issue. As @AlanM52 has suggested a photo would be helpful in suggestions. The cabinetry would have been installed to a certain spec plus the washing machine would be a standard height so I am wondering how much distance it is out?
