How to extend a timber fence?

Morning all,

Any suggestions for a material that we could use to extend the height of this fence (pictured)

and extra foot or so? We only need this along the side of the house as the neighbours property is elevated higher than ours meaning they look directly into our bedroom and bathroom windows so would need approximately 7m of fencing raised to obscure those views. We don't spend time looking out the window so lower cost is a priority over aesthetics , would plywood be appropriate or can someone think of a better option?
