Can you cover Specrite panels with Epoxy?

Hi, Are any of the Specrite panels (2400 x 900 x 33) suitable for Epoxy coating?

I have done a couple of smaller projects Ø600 round and an 1800 x 300 slab previously with Feast Watson Glass finish with great results.

The location to be installed is internal, however there is a bit of humidity from a beer chiller directly underneath.

In my last projects I foam brush sealed the bottom of the timber and then pour coat the top.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about Specrite panels.

I believe it should be perfectly ok to epoxy coat any of the Specrite 2400 x 900 x 33 such as the  Specrite 2400 x 900 x 33mm Timber Multi Use Pine Panel and the SpecRite 2400 x 900 x 33mm Brown Acacia Multi-Use Timber Panel. My best advice if you are using other Specrite panels is to sand away any protective coating that may be on top of it. In this manner, it will be a plain piece of timber with no chemical coatings that can interfere with the Feast Watson Glass Finish.

To protect the panel from any appliances that may be releasing heat, it would be best to repeat your cautionary step and seal the bottom as well to prevent any moisture contamination from coming into the timber.
