Should I repaint my porch tiles?

We bought this house 2 years ago and the previous owners painted over the porch tiles but didn’t seem to apply any protective coating, so now the paint is starting to peel and chip away. 

We’re planning on renting the home out for a few years so are wanting to fix the problem but nothing too costly. Should we remove all the paint first, re-apply the same paint and then apply some sort of clear protective coating? Or should we look at re-tiling the entire porch? 

if we re-paint, should we use a paint stripper to remove what’s there? And what protective coating would be best for outdoor porch tiles to avoid this happening again?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your porch tiles.

If you have porous paving tiles that are not glossy, then it would be worth stripping the old paint on the surface of the paving tiles and painting over it with a fresh coat of Berger Jet Dry 4L Heavy Duty Deep Charcoal Paving Paint or similar. Generally speaking, gloss tiles are not ideal to paint as paint does not adhere very well to non-porous surfaces. 

To remove the old paint on your paver you could use a chemical paint remover, or you can mechanically remove it using a grinder with a Josco 75mm Stainless Steel Twistknot Wire Cup Brush Wheel.
