How can I fill this gap between plasterboard and window frame?
Hello @ELI5
Thank you for sharing that photo of your door frame gap. Due to the size of the gap, I suggest using 31 x 11mm 5.4m White Moulding Pine FJ Primed DAR as a trim all around the door frame. It can either be screwed on or glued onto the wall. You can use Selleys 420g Liquid Nails Fast Grab Strong Adhesive in combination with Zenith 6G - 18 x 30mm Needle Point Gold Passivated Plasterboard Screw - 100 Pack. My best advice is to drill pilot holes in the timber moulding to prevent it from splitting.
If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.

Do you have a video of what this would look like please? Also, won't the side of the window frame where the moulding will be fixed look off?
You do have the option of removing the old architrave around the door so that you can replace it. Installing the timber moulding is just an immediate fix without taking the architrave assembly apart.
Here are some handy step-by-step guides:

Hi, the gap is actually around a window frame in the living room and not door. Will your proposed suggestion to use DAR be applicable in this case? Thanks
Hi @ELI5,
Yes, this solution will work regardless of whether it is used on a window or door.
As Eric mentioned, the best option would likely be to remove the entire architrave and replace it with one that is wide enough to fully cover the gap.
There are a variety of options in our range of https://www.bunnings.com.au/products/building-hardware/timber/mouldings that would work. You just need to find one that is wide enough to cover the gap. If for example the current architrave is 66mm wide and the gap is about 15-20mm past it, you could remove the current architrave and use a https://www.bunnings.com.au/92-x-11mm-5-4m-moulding-white-pine-fj-primed-dar_p0021266 .
Alternatively, if you didn't want to replace the architrave, you could attach another trim around the existing architrave. The piece Eric mentioned would work, but you could also use something like https://www.bunnings.com.au/18-x-18mm-5-4m-white-moulding-pine-fj-primed-quad_p0020748 , which will give it a more rounded appearance.
Let me know what you think and if you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
