Hi There we have just had our exterior bagged and about to paint. Consultant suggested weathershield but painter said needed primer. Bunnings said only need weathershield. Help? Primer or not?
Hi @JB58,
A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.
The advice I have received from the Dulux team is that on a rendered surface that has fully cured over the course of 28 days, there is no need for priming.
Simply apply three coats of Dulux Weathershield directly over the rendered surface.
Adding a coat of primer can't hurt, but it is not essential.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
