How to remove a stubborn wall spindle?

Hi folks,

DIY Protégé again.

I have a VERY stubborn Wall spindle that absolutely will not move. I have tried: Wd-40, Clr, wire brushing, adjustable wrench, plumbers spanner and multigrips. The latter is actually cutting into the spindle. I can only generate heat from a very low power hair dryer so I have not bothered with that. Is there by chance some very strong tool that can get this out of the wall?

I suggest using Trojan 350mm Pipe Wrench as the next step up. Make sure to position the handle onto the lefthand side when facing the wall so that you'll be pushing down onto the tool. Make sure the tool has a firm grip on the spindle before you attempt to push down. Please keep in mind that when using this much force there is the possibility that the copper pipe fittings behind the wall could get damaged. I recommend perhaps engaging the services of a plumber to remove this very difficult spindle. They 'll be able to repair the damage should anything unexpected happen.

Howdy @TJP,

Try using a butane torch on a soft flame and carefully lick all the way around the spindle.

This often works for me and if needed I use a tommy bar in the tube spanner and 'crack' with a hammer.
