Best bump feed whipper snipper?

Good morning,

I have owned a Ryobi 18v whipper snipper for years. However I needed to upgrade to one that has a bump feed head as we have a large yard and the spool head the line keeps breaking and not feeding. So I purchased the Ryobi #R18HLTR38 with a bump feed head. This whipper snipper works really well however it is quite large and a bit heavy for me to use as I'm a lady in my late 50s. Do you sell any other bump feed whipper snippers that would suit me or a harness to fit my current R18HLTR38?

A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.

Having a look at the manual for the Ryobi 18V ONE+ HP 38cm Brushless Line Trimmer, there should be a harness hanger that can be used to attach a harness.

Using this hanger, you have the option of using this fairly basic Ryobi Universal Shoulder Strap or this Ryobi Line Trimmer Shoulder Harness to help take the load from the whipper snipper. Rather than downgrading your tool, I'd suggest this is your best option.

There are lighter options for line trimmers, such as the Ozito PXC 18V 280mm Cordless Line Trimmer, which has an auto-feeding trimmer head, but there will be a reduction in power from your Ryobi trimmer.
