How to fix hole in chrome shower frame?

Hi, I have a hole in my chrome shower frame about the size of a 5c piece.

I'm assuming applying some metal filler, sanding and spraying with a chrome colored paint of sorts would do the trick but am looking for some advice to check my thinking and potential products to use for this fix?

I've attached a photo of the hole. There appears to be a smaller one forming in the top left portion and the chrome has peeled off the bottom left of the shower screen. Not sure what caused the holes to form, but would like to dry it out and patch it if possible.

It is difficult to tell what caused the deterioration on your aluminium frame, I suggest sanding the surface to remove the flaking aluminium pieces and other corroded parts. I recommend using PC Products 57g PC Metal Epoxy Putty to cover the damage. Make sure to wipe the surface clean before applying the epoxy on the surface. Please make sure to wear disposable rubber gloves and keep in mind that the patch has only a three-minute working window before it hardens.

Make sure that the patch is at the same level as the aluminium surface so that you won't have to sand off a great deal. It does not come in any other colour, but you can paint the surface in the same shade as the aluminium frame.

Thanks for your help. Do you have any advice on the type of paint that would be suitable for a wet area as it's inside the shower so will be getting wet everyday

Thank you for sharing that bit of information, I suggest using Fiddly Bits 250g Gloss Aluminium Spray Paint. Please keep in mind that the paint I suggested is not rated for bathroom environments and will need to be touched up every now and then.
