Where do I find potatoes with eyes or seeds
Good Evening @michelle12
Oh so easy to be cheeky 🙂 I found mine in the cupboard at the back where I store my potatoes and dont use them in time... 🙂
But I do know Bunnings sell seed potatoes as you would think of them, they are disease free. I think they only appear at certain times during the year.
potato will lead you to a range from Bunnings 🙂 If you look at the specifications of the item you will see what month to grow them. It seems to be around about now we plant them 🙂
That said I have grown potatoes that shoot/have eyes from my cupboard and they have grown well, I havest them after the stems start to die off. Tho I dont always get it right. I live South Of Sydney in Wollongong and they grow ok.
Good luck, I planted them in fresh turned soil (a week afterwards) and it had been composted. By about the depth of the potato itself. (12cm ish)
