How to increase pressure of sprinkler irrigation system?

Hi … I started to install new sprinkler irrigation system with using pop up sprinkler and 13mm hose pipe and directly connected to recycled water tap when I turned on the sprinklers, not sprinkling water as a recommended and the pressure of the water is very low. Is there any solution for this? I installed it sprinkler to 1 recycle, tap, and other hose pipe to garden bed, I need a help to increase my water pressure or any other alternatives. Thanks

It sounds like you’ve made a great start on installing your sprinkler irrigation system, but low water pressure can be a frustrating issue, especially when working with a recycled water tap. These taps often provide lower pressure and flow compared to standard mains water, which can cause pop-up sprinklers to underperform. Most pop-up heads require a minimum level of pressure to rise and spray properly, so if that threshold isn’t met, they’ll struggle to function as intended.

You said you've got two separate lines, one to the sprinklers and one to the garden beds. 

For your garden bed, consider switching to drip irrigation or micro-sprayers. These systems are far more efficient under low-pressure conditions and deliver water directly to the root zone, minimising waste.

If you use drip irrigation, which requires much less pressure, in your garden beds and connect the sprinklers to the tap, then you will have much more success.

Does this sound like a feasible option?

I would also inspect your hose and fittings as well, making sure there are no kinks, blockages, or leaks that could be restricting water flow. 

Lastly, while not always feasible, a constant pressure pump could help if allowed by your local water authority. Before going down this route, be sure to check the regulations around recycled water use in your area, as booster systems may be restricted.
