Faux fire place added to living room

Built in fireplace

Small little living room that I wanted a fireplace in so built one with the tv above it 

Materials

Structural timber, shiplap, mdf, liquid nails and wood benchtops (for seating)

Tools

Hammer drill, jigsaw, drop saw, hand saw

Steps

Step 1

1. Draw the concept

2. Researched and YouTubed how to

3. framed up and secured to wall

4. secured tv brackets 

5. shiplap over structure

6. Painted structure white and insert black 

7. Put little electric heater in with flame effect for that real feel

8. Enjoy that fire feel and heat, whilst watching a movie all rugged up on the comfy couch!

It looks like a real fireplace without all the trouble of installing a chimney.
