Hi
We are needing to renovate our bathroom due to some leaking. We are reusing as much as we can and have a lovely wooden vanity that we’ll use as a focus piece. We are also reusing the basin and waste.
We have one problem with the vanity. When we wash our hands the water and hand wash drips down behind the basin and collects on the wood at the back. It is hard to get into that area to clean it and I’m concerned that the moisture will damage the vanity. I can see that there used to be some silicone between the upright and flat surface in this area, but this has deteriorated over time.
I’d like to retain as much of the natural timber looks as possible, while also revitalizing the vanity and making it fit for purpose.

Many thanks for your advice.
