How to remove old paint and wood stains?

Hey Bunnings community 👋  

I’d like some advice on how I can remove wall paint and wood stains on surfaces, I moved into this house and the previous owner’s paint job wasn’t great. I’d like to clean it up as best as I can to make things look more aesthetically pleasing. Thanks team.

I propose testing DIGGERS 1L Methylated Spirits and a clean rag on the door first. Wet a small corner of the clean rag with metho and test a small section to see if the stain comes off. You can also apply the same technique on the side of the door frame. Please remember to test a small section first before you commit the entire area to make sure that it is effective. 

Another product you can try to use is Rocket Super Fine Steel Wool - Super Fine. Again, I suggest testing it on a small section first to see if it will remove the old stains on the door. If it is effective, continue with the sanding process using the steel wool.
