TV cabinet using Merbau decking boards

Here is our tv cabinet that I built. It is made from using merbau decking and 18mm ply. It 2000mm long, 500mm deep and 730mm high. I even made the legs by gluing a few pieces together, to make it solid. The top is 2 pieces of 18mm ply glued together. It's all been put together with some pocket hole screws. As an added feature, I ripped some decking down to some thin strip's and added them to the edge, just to hide the ply edge.

Love your entertainment unit, So many bits andpieces on it that stand out, from the ripped down merbau facing to the solid middle feet and the perfect cuts. 🙂 No bowing in the middle here! That would be a nice addition to a lounge room.

Thanks for that.

It only took me 2 weekends to build. A table saw makes building stuff quicker and easier. I've also used merbau to support the top aswell. Over killed it haha

With young kids around, I wanted to be strong and still be used many years from now.
