Can we install a shower base over tiles that pool badly in the corner The drain outlet is in the middle of the shower but we get about 5mm of water at each shower in the corner because the tile base doesn’t run into the drain

It would depend on the specific installation requirements of the shower base and whether they could be adequately sealed without alterations to the ground and walls. I know a lot of them require the wall sheets to overlap with the lip on the outside of the shower base, which would add complexity and potentially rule this out as an option.
As this would be considered plumbing work that requires a plumbing licence, I would suggest you confirm whether this is an option or not with a plumber.
