Dramatic home exterior transformation using painted Davco render as well as paint applied to the window frames, garage door and Colorbond fence with a spray gun.
The project
Did an exterior makeover of our home and I feel it was totally worth it.
Steps
Step 1
I started by painting the window frames black. Taped all the sides and used a Wagner spray gun. They were originally brown.
Step 2
Same with the garage door.
Step 3
I hired someone to work on the render. The house is high and this wasn't something I could handle alone. I bought Davco render from Bunnings and managed to do some parts myself. It was a good learning process.
Step 4
I then used Taubmans exterior paint to paint the eaves.
Step 5
It was then time to paint the exterior. I used Dulux paint in the colour Hog Bristle, first in fine texture with a brush and then used a roller.
Step 6
Finally I painted the fence. This was also a big job but the Wagners spray gun made it much easier.
Step 7
Sharing before and after pics so you can see the difference. Still need to paint the driveway. Hoping to save up to put in pavers and tile the entrance.
