How to build a rendered outdoor seat?

I’m wanting to build a besser block outdoor seat and render it. I’ve been researching and have seen 2 styles. One fills the middle with concrete, but the other uses wood and then cushions. I don’t want to have cushions on it.

im wondering a cheaper alternative to filling the entire inner seat with concrete.

Could I use a wooden frame and then lay pavers on top and render?

Open to ideas!

It reminds me of @Codey's Paved firepit area with built-in seating. Have a look at how he built it. Hopefully Codey might also be able to share some thoughts on your questions. Our resident Bunnings D.I.Y. experts will also be happy to assist as soon as possible.

I propose using masonry blocks inside Brighton Masonry 390 x 190 x 190mm Full Besser Block and putting them at the same level as the blocks outside. You can then glue the paver on top and then rendering it. Using the masonry blocks will keep it dimensionally stable and will offer support to the pavers on top should anyone decide to step on the seats.

A wooden frame to support pavers and render on top would have to be resonably substantial, to make sure the weight could be carried and also so its solid enough so cracking/shifting wouldnt happen easily. @EricL's suggestion of filling the seat with masonary blocks would go a long wayto stopping any movement happen plus giving a solid support inside/less concrete needed.

@Codey project is incredibly inspiring and I would have a look at it for sure, I know at least one other person was doing the same type of deal and it is much easier having an example to bump off ideas and any issues.

A photo or two of your area may also help out with what type of seat to build. Sometimes the landscape can really suggest other paths to use.
