How to polish engineered timber floor?

Hey team,

While I was moving a heavy object with wheels in my living room, turns out one of my wheels were locked and i ended up having a line on my newly installed engineered timber floorboards across the living area.

The line is not a scratch or a dent, but it feels like it lost it's gloss and i am unsure what to do.

I have tried to clean it off with the long life timber floor cleaner, but the line is still there.

Do you have any advice on how I can make the line go away?

The timber surface has been slightly compressed, I propose using hot water and a tea towel. Place the tea towel in the hot water and let it soak for a moment. Lift and rinse the tea towel until all the water is out. Place the hot tea towel over the damaged section of the floor and press down with your palm for a few minutes. Repeat the process over the damaged sections. The moisture combined with the heat should uncompress the timber.

You might need to apply this process over a few days in order to affect the damaged section. If the damaged section will not lift up properly, I suggest speaking to your installer in regards to other repair options.
