How to fix Kinetic inlet valve?

I have just installed a Kinetic inlet valve, and it is not letting water enter the cistern

please help?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your inlet valve.

There are only a number of possible points where you can investigate why the inlet valve is not working. 

• Remove the cistern hose and check that the cistern tap is working
   
• Remove the cistern hose from the inlet valve and attach it to the cistern tap and test
   
• Look under the cistern valve and see if it has a pressure reducing plug or debris catcher. When pushed in too far it will plug up the valve
   
• Remove the cistern valve and blow into it from the bottom (air should pass through, but if not then the valve is faulty)
   
• Check the float settings of the valve, it might be in the closed position.

If after doing all these trouble shooting steps and the inlet valve just won't work, I suggest bringing it back along with your docket and getting a Fluidmaster Bottom Entry Toilet Inlet Valve instead.
