How to fix leaking downpipe?

My gutter is leaking and upon looking at it it seems there's a gap between the top of the downpipe and the actual gutter. I did spray some rust oleum rubber spray on it but does not seem to have worked. Any suggestions please

In order to give our members a better idea of the gap in your gutter assembly, would it be possible for you to post a photo of its current condition? As soon as our members see the photo, they'll be able to assess the issue and offer recommendations on possible repair options.
