How can I fit a vent for my rangehood?

I want to drill a hole to place a vent for my rangehood, but can’t figure out if it going to be possible…

The 150mm ducting will be running along the ceiling behind a bulkhead above the kitchen cabinets. I want it to be right in the corner of the wall and ceiling. However, outside there are pipes come down from upstairs apartment.

Running in it my preferred location would mean coming out behind the waste pipe, assuming there is enough depth to even fit a vent behind it, would that even be a smart move? Would the vent air be hot enough to potentially cause damage to the pipe..? The vent is just over a metre away from rangehood position.

Physically the vent could just fit between the waste and water pipe (pic 2) without the pipes interfering, but it would mean the hole would not be behind the bulkhead anymore, and I would have to drill through the old vent inside! The window edge is 410mm from the corner.

Is there anyway I can do this, or am I destined to have a recirculating rangehood..?

Hello @squeakysim 

I propose speaking to your neighbour and the building manager about modifying the down pipe. Generally speaking, a plumber could put in a 45 degree turn to push the pipe work to the side and do a return so that it does not interfere with its drop off location. You can then still accomplish your goal of having the vent in the corner hidden from view.
