Can you use Dulux ceiling paint as a primer?

Am I able to use Dulux ceiling paint as a primer/sealer/undercoat on prepared new plaster/top coat?

Hi @Lee777,

Dulux ceiling paint doesn’t have priming, sealing, or undercoating properties. I wouldn’t recommend using it directly on new plaster or topcoat if your goal is to prepare the surface. For the best results, it’s worth using a dedicated sealer/undercoat first, then applying your paint over the top.
