Its inserted into the brick wall. How do I close the gap after removing the unit. Looki for chesp , diy ling lasting solutions that will withstand weather conditions.

Thank you for your question about closing in the hole in your brick facade after removing an old air con unit.
Your best option, if you could source bricks that look the same, is to brick in the hole. For this, you would need a brick trowel and some mortar as well as your bricks. You'd mix up the mortar and apply it to the bricks, then push them into place. It can be a bit tricky, but I have seen many examples of it done well.
Another option, which is likely going to be easier, is to line the opening with H3 Framing, then attach fibre cement sheeting to this frame. You can use masonry anchors to fix the frame in place, then attach your fibre cement sheeting to it using fibre cement screws. Once the sheet is fixed in place, you would seal the edges of the sheet using No More Gaps Exterior, then paint it in a colour of your choosing.
