Hi,
looking for help and advise. Had a plumper come out and find an access point to the drains under some pavers.
what would I need to extend the access point up to level, so I wouldn’t have to dig it up. it’s a screw top cover access at the moment.
Hi @willdow,
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it's fantastic to have you join us, and many thanks for your question.
Unfortunately, as any alterations to a stormwater or sewer system are plumbing work requiring a licence, you would need to speak with a plumber for assistance.
A plumber would likely cut off the top of the pipe, then install a Slip Coupling in the correct diameter for the pipe, followed by a short length of PVC pipe to extend it to the correct level, then attach a Threaded Access Coupling with an Access Cap to the top.
They would likely use Red Priming Fluid and Blue Cement Solvent to glue the pieces together.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
