How to fix blinds getting stuck?

Hi Team,

I am not able to pull up the blinds completely. It’s getting stuck in the middle. Please refer to pics. I can see how is it getting stuck because of the blocker.

My question is how to remove that circle thing so that I can pull up the Blinds till the top.

I suspect that the chain has jumped a few places and has moved the stopper higher up the chain which is preventing your from opening the roller blind to full. Before you take the option of removing the plastic stopper, I propose lifting the chain off the main roller and moving the chain stopper back to the bottom position. Place the chain back onto the main roller and test again. If the blind is still short move the chain stopper further back so that the roller will open to full. The chain stopper's purpose is to prevent the blind from rolling over itself and damaging the roller blind posts.

Hi @shery328,

We are talking about the clutch mechanism and if you can't lift the chain off the roller as @EricL described it could be because (out of sight) there is a plastic tab that:

1. Applies modest pressure to keep the chain in contact with the roller.

2. Prevents the chain skipping off the roller.

If that's the case stop the actual blind turning with you left hand and carefully pull down the chain (on the window side) so it skips the roller until the stopper is at the bottom.

I am also thinking that the chain has slipped over the cog. Which has brought the join/stop tab to jam as you use it. If you get a step ladder and then have a look up where the chain goes into the blinds you will see hopefully a double sided cog type deal. Just lift the chain up and over so the join tab will be at the base of the loop once you put it back together.
