How to fill porcerlain paver gaps?

Hello,

I am after some advice, we have laid 20sqm of porcelain pavers on a road base/crusher dust 150mm base. We then used easy mix polymeric paver sand for the gaps but it is not setting at all and just continuously washing away creating mess. I’m after something better to put in the gaps that won’t wash away. Any advice please? I’m at my wits end with this project to be honest

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.

How wide are the gaps between your pavers? They look to be fairly narrow.

Polymeric sand works best in wider gaps from about 5mm to 12mm, where it can interlock and set properly when the polymer is activated. You are likely finding that it washes away because you simply can't get enough in the gaps for it to bond well.

Instead, you could use Epoxy Grout, which will set much better than polymeric sand, given the narrow joints between your tiles.
