Just a friendly reminder that any plumbing work needs to be carried out by a licensed plumber for safety and compliance.
The typical cost of a compatible replacement cistern like the Stylus Allegro Plastic Cistern WELS 3 Star 6L/Full is currently $127. A ceramic one such as the Stylus Venecia Cistern WELS 4 Star 4.5L/Full is currently at $225. The cost of a brand-new toilet suite like the Estilo Close Coupled Rimless S Trap Toilet Suite WELS 4 Star 4.5L/Full is $182. From a replacement point of view, it would be affordable to replace the entire toilet.
Generally speaking, the plumber would disassemble the old cistern and removing all the pipework linked to it. A compatible replacement cistern would then be put in. But this is a good opportunity for you to look at the possibility of upgrading your toilet suite to a new one. I propose going to your local store and having a look at the toilet suites that are available.
I also suggest looking at Toilet Installation service offered at the store. This will save you time looking for a professional to install your toilet.
