What hard wearing wood floor paint?

Hi guys. Needing some help please. I have wood floors in my loungeroom and spare bedroom a.k.a the dogs room. The carpet is so old so I've torn it up and found floor boards. Its an old house built 1st in Street in 1925. She's got good bones, boards aren't the best, so painting is more cost effective for me. As the dogs will be likely in both rooms, I'm needing to know what sort of paint I can use , HAS to be VERY hard wearing, as the dogs love to run out of rooms, water clean up preferably if possible.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about what wood floor paint to use.

If you are sanding the surface of the timber floor, I suggest using Cabot's 1L Satin Water Based CFP Floor. It's highly durable, hard wearing and quick drying. The advantage of using a clear sealer is that any scratches the pups make will not be very visible, unlike when a coloured paint is used. 

Eventually the floor will get fully scratched and will be visible, but this will take some time. On the condition that there are no deep scratches the floor can be sanded again and a new clear coat applied. 

I also propose covering the floor with easy to clean rugs such as the Izmir 150 x 220cm Grey Rug. This will prevent floor scratches and provide a soft surface for the pups.
