How to calculate low-level deck pedestal spacing?

I am currently planning a low level deck build (160mm from concrete slab to top of deck)

We are planning on using Ekodeck designer series and building a subframe out of 90x45 framing pine. 

I have been looking into using the Builders edge 35-60mm smallfoot pedestals to get the required clearance but i am finding conflicting information on how many i need to put in. Some guides have mentioned that i need a foot every 450mm along each joist (which would be over 120 feet for a 4.5x3.7m deck) but then other guides have said i only need them every 900mm.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your decking project.

Here is the link to the Builders Edge foot spacing table this will give you an idea of how far the footings are suppose to be. Since you are going on a concrete slab, I propose looking at using large galvanized angle brackets as on option to footing. I also suggest having a look at this featured project - Low-level composite deck over concrete and soil by @oninpena. According to the table, if you are using the small foot and have a 450mm floor joist spacing using a 90x45 framing timber you need to put a foot pedestal every 750mm.
