How to cover screen door temporarily while smoke is in the air?

Hello

There is a local bushfire and there is a lot of smoke in the air. Is there a way I can temporarily attach clear plastic to the screen door around the cat door to block the smoke?  All other doors and windows are closed. I'd prefer a temporary solution as I usually like having the rear backdoor open for air flow. Thank you.

Hi @LorenClayton,

Some clear Builder’s plastic and a roll of duct tape will be your best bet here. Just tape the plastic sheeting around the perimeter frame of the screen door to create a seal, then cut a neat section around the cat flap so your pet can still use it. It won’t be a perfect airtight block, but it will greatly reduce the amount of smoke drifting in until the air clears. Since it’s taped on, you can just peel it off once you no longer need it.
