How to stop water coming into my yard?

When my neighbour waters his yard, the water comes through, under the colour-bond fence (see image where the massive weed is growing) The water and mud then leaks through and under the wooden sleepers on my side onto my paving. Just after an easy way to stop the water coming through onto my side.

Diverting water coming from your neighbour's side is a tricky thing and there are very specific laws in regards to it. One way you could protect your garden is to intercept the water by installing a small French drain on your side. A French drain is basically a channel that has geo-textile, gravel and an agi-pipe in it (perhaps 65mm). The surface is then covered with geo-textile again and gravel placed on top. Please note that the discharge point of the agi-pipe must fall within the rules and regulations of the local council. If it will be connected to your storm water drain, you'll need the services of a plumber so that it is installed safely and in compliance with local laws.
