How to repair built-in wardrobe and wall?

Hi everyone,

I recently had some built-in wardrobes installed. Unfortunately, the carpenter left a few defects and has refused to come back to fix them, so I’m thinking it might be quicker to tackle them myself.

The main problem is that the skirting along the double brick wall was removed and there’s now some visible damage. A few of the wardrobe panels are also chipped.

I’d really appreciate any advice or tips on how best to repair or touch these up. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your wardrobe.

I propose using Turbo 175ml Builders Bog Flexipack in combination with UNi-PRO 50mm Real Good Paint Scraper. The general steps will be to clean the area and remove any loose pieces that are inside the cavity. Remove the drawer rail, if necessary, especially if you need the extra space to operate. My best advice is not to add too much activator so that you have enough time to fix and position the bog in place. The same steps apply for the smaller damaged section and the bottom part where the edges have broken off. Your goal is to have a level finish so that you won't have to sand off too much.

Make sure to give the bog enough time to cure and once it has cured you can sand the surface down to get a good flat finish. Use your vacuum cleaner to suck all the sanding dust away and use a British Paints 250ml White Sample Pot - 250ml to paint the repaired section. Allow the paint to dry before you reassemble the entire section of the wardrobe.
