how can I bring black tapwear back to life? has faded / rusted and i want to restore the black.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about tapware.
If you are talking about your tapware or plug and waste, they can be for a time brought back to life. Both the tapware and plug & waste can be sanded down and spray painted to give it back its finish. Please note that the tapware body is not overly exposed to the hot and cold extremes of the water, but your plug and waste are. This exposure will eventually wear down the paint finish on the surface so a touch up will be necessary to cover fading and chipping that will occur on the surface.
