Hi @Revi,
Thank you for your question about what to use for an outdoor timber shelf.
When you say outdoor, how exposed to weather, particularly rain, is this shelf going to be? The level of exposure to rain will be the key point in selecting a material for your shelving project.
If it is well covered, then there is nothing stopping you from using the CUSTOMpine 1800 x 595 x 16mm Carcass Shelving E1L White Standard Particleboard that you've photographed above. Melamine is a good option as it is prefinished and looks nice and clean. In saying this, melamine is a coated chipboard material that is not good if it gets wet. If water gets into the cut edge without any edge banding, then the core of the material will swell and distort, leaving you with a warped material that will eventually break down.
Plywood is another good option. It is more resistant to swelling, although it will still swell if water gets into it, just not as severely as melamine. If you chose to use plywood, you would need to seal it using something like an exterior paint or exterior varnish.
Depending on the size of shelves you require, you could also use something like this 285 x 19mm DAR Pine, which is timber in the same way as plywood, but it is milled to size, rather than shaved and glued together like plywood is. Retaining the natural structure gives it more strength than something like plywood or melamine which are engineered products. Similarly to the plywood, you would still need to coat it in something like paint or varnish to protect it from water ingress.
Any of these options would work, with varying degrees of effort and likelihood of issues. Let me know what you think, and if you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Thank you
I have another one question regarding is it possible composite deck panel pre hole and screw on top of deck frame ? Which screws best? I know there is special lock type screws for composite decking.
i have bit more cut pieces after my decking.
I am planning to make deck base cor my garden shed shed.
please give me some me information.
thanks
Revi
There are screws that are marketed for use with composite decking, but there isn't really a huge difference in what they do. You can just use a standard decking screw, such as these Titan 10G x 50mm Wide Head Decking Screws.
Use a Titan 10G x 50mm Decking Countersink Tool to predrill and countersink the decking boards before driving in your screws.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
Thanks
Thank you .
For your response
Anyway I want do floor on top of my concrete ( inside garden shed)
instead of decking any other cheapest option like a ply wood or any material? please give me some details.
thank you
Hello @Revi
If you decide to use timber inside your shed, it will be necessary to build a frame footing for it and it must be heavily protected from moisture. The other options are to use large pavers or composite decking panels such as Ecko deck.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

hi,
which is cheapest floor for ideas for outdoor garden shed , basement is concreted. I noticed couple of items but is it water resistant?
What is the size of the shed?
Cheers

Hi ,
is there any cheapest ideas for garden shed floor? I done already frame for deck, the frame on top of concrete . Is there any cheapest and best material . I noticed couple of items is it good, please check photos.
I don't recommend using Yellow or Green Tongue particle board flooring inside your shed. The main issue is when rainwater or heavy moisture enters the shed it will make any timber flooring wet. The flooring must be lifted off the cement floor so that moisture is not trapped underneath. The flooring you choose must be able to withstand getting wet and must allow water and moisture to escape. The particle boards you've show are water resistant for only a limited amount of time and when its covering eventually wears away water will enter it and it will come apart in time.
I therefore suggest investing in your shed floor so that it will last a long time and not get damaged by water or moisture. I suggest looking at the Jack Matrix 290 x 290 x 15mm Charcoal Grip Tile and the Ekodeck 137 x 23mm 5.4m Moonlight / Nightfall Essentials Composite Decking.
