How to install blinds in a rental home?

looking at setting up some blinds for our living area, however we are renting and are somewhat limited to the amount of change we can do to the property. The length of the space is roughly 5m, what would be the best way to install blinds for someone who is renting ?

My advice would be to speak to the property owner @nathan640. It is not unreasonable to expect blinds and the homeowner would hopefully see it as a good investment.

hi @Jason, we have spoken with the landlord about getting blinds installed as it’s legally required in our state but the sliding flyscreen is considered a blind so our request was unfortunately denied. This is why we want to install them ourselves in a way that won’t leave any holes in the walls.

The majority of the blinds available at the store require that you screw them into the wall or a timber frame. I propose trying to speak to your landlord one more time, but this time show them the type of blind you'll be installing. You can also inform them that this will be to their advantage and how it adds value to the property. I also suggest including the provision that you'll remove the blinds when you move out and have the holes patched professionally.
