How to repair damage to eaves?

Hello all,

Another project which I have procrastinated about but alas need to fix.

This was damaged accidentally but luckily no pieces missing. Was wondering if I can use the same technique for patching gyprock with the fibre cement eaves- ie plastering tape and with topping compound?

any advice would be greatly appreciated

Thank you for sharing your question about your damaged eaves. The damage appears to be quite extensive and although it is possible to do a patch up job, I'm afraid the structural damage to the sheet is quite extensive, and it would be more practical to replace the sheet. In this manner the repair will be a full sheet, and you won't have to worry about the patch breaking up.
