How to repair a leaking Estilo shower head?

I had only purchased the new Estilo shower head and started using it for about 2 months.

Its just a cheaper shower head so I can easily buy a new one.

But, I was hoping it’s an easy fix and I can do it myself.

The leak is coming from the shower head itself.

Everytime we turn it on,the water still sprays as it should,but it also leaks water from the head at the same time.

Can I pry open the plastic cover and fix the leak somehow?

I'd love to help out where I can, but I am struggling to understand exactly where the leak is coming from without seeing it.

Is it possible to get some photos showing the specific location of the leak?

Let me know if you need some help uploading images. I am happy to help if required.

Ultimately, if the leak is inside a sealed portion of the shower head, it is likely easiest to just return and replace it, but if we can fix it, that would be ideal.

I'll assist further when you can get back to me.

I couldn’t take the photos any better as water was shooting straight towards me behind the shower glass.

Hope it helps,otherwise I am happy to get it replaced.

I don't believe there would be any serviceable parts inside the shower head that you’d be able to repair yourself. From what I can see, it appears the head is trying to perform two spray functions at once: your normal spray pattern, plus the larger nozzles.

There’s a good chance the spray selector lever is stuck halfway between two settings. If that’s the case, water can be diverted through both channels, which causes it to spray and leak at the same time. Try clicking the selector firmly back to one spray pattern and see if that corrects it.

If the issue continues, it’s likely that the internal channels that switch between spray patterns have failed. In that case, I’d recommend returning the shower head to the store with your receipt for a replacement under warranty.

Let me know how you go with checking that spray selector.

Hi Mitchell.

I appreciate all your help trying to resolve this issue.

I did try rotating the 3 settings as per usual when having a shower.

We have used the left,centre right settings.

I can hear a click as each setting is established so I couldn’t see any issue there.

When we first purchased the shower head/hose unit from Bunnings,it was working amazingly well.

But eventually,the problem began after approximately 2 months use.

We thought that maybe we had done something wrong to cause damage to the unit but as there are only 2 adults in the house,we are not sure why after using it carefully,how this came about.

I have tried what you wrote to do but to no avail unfortunately.

So,we are happy to return the unit to get it replaced as soon as convenient.
