How to re-surface a driveway?

Ive started filling some cracks in some very worn concrete that forms part of our driveway. I wasn't keen to get it dug out and re-done as its quite costly. I've started filling the cracks with Betta Crack Filler. I can't find the Dunlop concrete re-surfacer in the store anymore. Is there anything else you'd recommend to re-surface so I can then paint it a dark colour to match the rest of the driveway?

Hi @Katie6025,

Unfortunately, the Dunlop resurfacer doesn't seem to be available anymore.

Instead, I'd suggest using the Dulux Avista Resurfacing Compound, which can be tinted using Dulux Avista Oxide to remove the need for painting.

Like the Dunlop product, you will need to prime the surface first using the Dulux Avista Resurfacing Primer.

Thanks! I've learnt alot in a week. I also found Earl's concremate seems to be good as a crack filler. Although the cracks less than 1.2cm aren't suitable for that so I got some Dap crack filler sand for those. Have started grinding down the drive. Realised I probly need a dust shrowd and vacuum.. The P2 mask and face shield wasn't quite enough for me to feel comfortable avoiding silicosis.

I propose using 3M Medium Paint Project Reusable Half Facepiece Respirator rather than a standard 3M Builders P2 Respirator - 3 Pack. The half face respirator will provide better filtration and a secure fit to the face. You also have the choice to use a GVS Elipse Full Face P3 Particulate Respirator FFM2243, but it is quite an investment. An alternative to a face shield is the Protector Compact Safety Goggles. This provides a seal around the eyes and prevents particle dust from entering.
