Three generations of one family came together over two weekends to construct a cubby house using different types and cuts of Pine.
The project
A cubby house created almost entirely from Pine.
Steps
Step 1
Cleared the back yard area of trees and shrubs.
Step 2
Dug post holes for frame work. Concreted in posts with stabilising frame work.
Step 3
Measured and built flooring section.
Step 4
Built roof frame struts and bolted to upper frame. Overlapped roofing panels nailed into frame.
Step 5
Cut out window section for side walls and panelling.
Step 6
Added the vertical safety rails for the veranda. Attached slippery dip and hand built ladder and stairs. Contested basement blocks for stairs and ladder. Added a red plastic drivers wheel to front deck post. Cut all the bolt ends off and smoothed edges. Nailed into centre of roof frame solar lights for buddy house section and added kids table chairs and play kitchen.
Step 7
Impressed Teddys boot soles into the wet concrete and added the year 2025!
