An outdoor kitchen created on a budget using Kaboodle cabinets as the base with a D.I.Y. concrete benchtop.
The project
We built our own outdoor barbecue area using Kaboodle cabinets and a D.I.Y. concrete benchtop. The Kaboodle units gave us a strong and good-looking base, and the concrete top added a cool, modern touch. It’s now a great spot for entertaining, with a custom look that we created ourselves on a budget.
Steps
Step 1
We first built out the barbecue area using blocks.
Step 2
Then we put in the Kaboodle cabinets.
Step 3
We formed up and poured a concrete benchtop.
Step 4
We built a splashback, then tiled and grouted it.
Step 5
Polished the concrete benchtop and sealed it.
Step 6
Put in the barbecue and here is the finished product!
