How to build a cat tree climbing post?

Grunt 10mm x 100m Sisal Twisted Rope Hi there, new to the board, I was just looking to build some cat climbing posts in our outside cat run. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if this would be suitable to use for cats/ pets. I can't see anywhere on the main site that mentions Pet Safe, and I asked the IA thing, but it didn't know either. Any help would be great thanks

Sisal rope is generally considered a safe and suitable material for cat posts, and it is one of the most common materials used in commercially made scratching posts and climbing furniture. Because sisal is a natural plant fibre from the agave plant, it is non-toxic and not known to cause harm to pets when used as intended. Most concerns around sisal are mechanical rather than chemical. As the rope wears, it will fray and shed fibres, which is normal. Some cats may chew on the loose strands and potentially swallow small pieces. In most cases, these fibres pass through without issue, but if a cat is a heavy chewer or tends to ingest string-like materials, supervision and periodic replacement of worn sections is sensible. I've reached out to Grunt to confirm, and they are aware of many customers using their products for the same purpose as you intend, and they have never experienced any issues.
