How to replace corner cabinet hinge?

Hi guys,

current situation in my kitchen corner cabinet at the moment.,

The hinges being used are as follows

I have been bunning few times, and brought few, and did not look like I got the right one.

Can someone point me in right direction please.

Hi @Sugar,

The hinges that connect the two doors are called bi-fold hinges. These Hafele Salice 70° Bifold Corner Hinges should do the trick.

If you wanted to replace the hinges that attach the door to the cabinet itself, you would be looking at a full overlay hinge that opens past 90°. It looks like they open a fair bit past 90°, so I think you'd be looking at something like these Hafele Salice 165° Full Overlay Hinges.

@JacobZ thanks for all the tips.

Good news is I found the perfect match and it is working perfectly fine.

Until I found that the holes have already become too big for screws and little not firm. When I put the screws they come lose after few open - close.

I tried to using the cuts of disposable earplug ( i knew it was not the perfect solution.),.....andddd it did not work.

I saw that others are using some rubber tubes inside the holes, what are they ???

I think once I fix this , the problem should be fixed.

Hi @Sugar,

What is the rough diameter of the holes?

You could use a Ramset Wall Plug of the corresponding diameter to the hole, then screw into the plug. If the current diameter doesn't match up closely, just drill the hole out with a drill bit in the corresponding diameter to your wall plug.

Tap the wall plug in place, then cut the excess length off before screwing the hinge back in place.

@JacobZ I tried using wall plug, but they did not really work well. I think the holes have been already damaged.

Later, i used those holes (indicated by blue arrow). Now sure why previous people would have created this, but those holes worked perfectly fine for me, without wall plug.
