I’m planning to hang a 160g mobile from the ceiling. I considered using a 3M/Command hook, but I’m concerned the adhesive might lose its grip or peel off the paint. What’s the best way to hang it with minimal damage to the ceiling?

Although it is relatively lightweight, I would not be confident attaching a hook to the ceiling using an adhesive, as over time the weight will move around and pull on it and assuming that it may be hung over a baby, I wouldn't be comfortable with this, regardless of how lightweight it is.
The solution I would recommend is this Zenith 10 / 15kg White Small Ceiling Hook. They can be screwed into timber framing if it is available, or into plasterboard using the expansion anchor.
It would put a small hole in the ceiling, but it would be very easy to patch when needed, and I'd be happy to help if required.
