How to treat Hardenbergia with holes in leaves?

Im not sure what happen to my Hardenbergia - it has brown / transparent holes in the leaves . I bought two pots recently - one is planted in the ground (the leaves are not as bad as the one in pot) and this one still in the pot as I have not install the trellis yet. 

What’s causing it to distress? Should I water more often or plant in in the ground?

If there’s no sign of insects, the brown or translucent holes in the leaves are most likely caused by irregular watering. Hardenbergias don’t like their roots sitting in soggy soil, but they also don’t respond well to prolonged dryness. In pots, this stress is more noticeable because the soil can dry out or heat up quickly.

To help the plant recover, try to keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water deeply so that the roots get a good soak, then allow the top layer to dry slightly before watering again. Planting it in the ground will help in the long term, as the soil retains moisture more evenly and the roots have more space to establish. With consistent care, new healthy growth should come through, and the leaf damage won’t spread further.
